About The Lakehouse Path

I’m Martin Debus. I spent more than a decade at EDEKA, one of Germany’s largest grocery retailers, processing billions of rows of data every day and building the data products behind assortment optimization and couponing recommenders. Today I run SNOWGLOBE, a Hamburg / Germany based Databricks consultancy, currently focused on the financial industry.

The Lakehouse Path is where I share what I see working (and not working) on Databricks every day.

What you’ll get: practical, hands-on Databricks — new and noteworthy features explained, in-depth tutorials you can actually apply, and hard-won lessons from real-world Lakehouse projects that don’t make it into the docs.

Whether you run Databricks at massive scale or you’re just getting started, big team or solo — if you build on the Lakehouse, this is written for you.

Subscribe to get each new post in your inbox — feature deep-dives, tutorials, and field notes, none of them missed.

Thanks for being here.

The posts here are what I can share publicly. When a team needs the rest — hands-on, on your own data and your own problems — that's what SNOWGLOBE is for. Work with me →
